Shorts win tv/e Global Sustainability Film Award 2013 at BAFTA

On 10th October Short and Associates won the tv/e Global Sustainability Film Award for 2013 at BAFTA in Piccadilly for the film 'Robust Hospitals in a Changing Climate' produced and directed by Peter Cook and Monika Koek at Screenspace Ltd. The full 30 minute film is at but a 10 minute version for busy people is at  and on the tv/e awards website. The film presents the findings of the major UK Research Councils funded project Design and Delivery of Robust Hospitals in a Changing Climate  DeDeRHECC based at the University of Cambridge where Short is The Professor of Architecture in collaboration with Loughborough, Leeds and the Open Universities. Prof. Short is now appointed academic assurance member of the UK Dept of Health Energy Efficiency Fund Working Group seeking to fund energy efficiency and adaptation measures across the NHS. The film has elicited a first exciting response, an approach from the Indian Government Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Chief Architect to collaborate on the design of prototype district hospitals across India, some 640 are planned.
